A very talented doodler of a wife left these little surprises for her hubby around the house while traveling abroad. He brought us the pieces to frame into a truly special piece. A classic warm taupe mat and black shadowbox frame was a lovely choice to display these charming hand drawn pieces. Love it!

Meet FoundRe

Earlier this week, while stopping by the Andersonville shop, I had the pleasure of running into the one and only Raun from FoundRe Furnishings. As you can see, he’s super adorable and one of our favorite framing all-stars!

Raun started FoundRe in 2009 and was all smiles as he dropped off piles of new frames that we couldn’t help but ogle over. He’s been in the framing game 11 years, and it shows. His frames and furnishings are all made from salvaged wood around the city, and he has connections with local handymen who let him know when they’ve got an old door or some rustic wooden treasure to re-purpose.

FoundRe has a storefront full of re-purposed pieces and treats for your eyeballs in Chicago’s uber cool Wicker Park neighborhood. Stop by and check out some of Raun’s new favorite pieces: lamps made with re-purposed materials and new hardware.
