Jason Kernevich and Dustin Summers, from the noble town of Philly, have created a vibrant collection
of 8 serigraphs of favorite US cities for your viewing pleasure. While they’re all equally gorgeous, we
can’t stop ourselves from drooling over the Chicago print.  These 14×24 beauties are great pieces
individually or as a mix and match set. As always, we’d be delighted to frame them up special for ya!

The set was designed from spot illustrations that the boys created for an issue
of Real Simple magazine- if Martha approves, you know these puppies are fabulous!

Look how pretty these frames cleaned up!

Imagine looking at yourself in this beautiful antique mirror, another great use for an incredible recycled frame.

If you can’t find a treasured photo to put in these gorgeous frames, you can always dig through our photo collections. We even came across this great World War II photo book of a soldier and his buddy’s travels.

Next up from the road trip are some of the interesting one of kind items we picked-up and some of the interesting people we met.

The designers hand selected several incredible artists to adorn the walls of this new building and required the expertise of Foursided, including:

- Conservation framing for over 30 original works of art,
- Stretching canvases, and
- Conservation mounting works on paper.

We framed two of the largest works of art in recent memory at Foursided, which required extra care and attention to ensure that neither the artwork nor the framing were damaged during the project. In fact, the frames were so large, they required the specialized support from one of our supplier partners.

The project was focused on making the artwork the center of attention, so we used simple ebony, white, and wood profile frames. Several of the large works on paper were framed in white shadow box frames with plexiglass made for protection from UV sun rays.

This was a special project where we also had the pleasure of framing incredible paintings by our friend and artist, Joe Boudreau. If you would like to see more of his work, please visit his blog.

This is our first installment of our road trip, which catalogues a few of the additions we made to our truck throughout the day. It ended up being an exciting day, because not only did we find a bunch of cool old frames that we’ll recycle into your framing projects, but we also found a whole bunch of other interesting things that you’ll soon see in our Lakeview and Andersonville stores. We also met a few of our favorite antique dealers, who it is always a pleasure for us to work with, and who we will share a bit more about in a future post.
